As already reported in my first part, I was in my old home for a few days at the end of March. In the second part I thought I'll do something special. I started in the morning at around 11 a.m. at Bahnhof West. From there I chose my route along Venloer Straße until it crosses with the Ehrenfeldgürtel. Why this route? There are four underground stations on this route: Hans Böckler Platz / West Bhf, Piusstraße, Körnerstraße and Venloer Straße / Gürtel. All four underground stations are designed in their own interesting way and offer opportunities for underground street photography. Since I have always found subway stations attractive as a photographic backdrop, I like to shoot there. In addition, I had set myself the challenge that I had to take four different photos in each of the four subway stations, which were approximately worth showing. In addition, I also wanted to take four photos on the way above the subway stations. I saw this as a varied challenge in contrast to the otherwise random walking around the city.
Due to the requirement to take four photos with me from each station, I urged myself to try out different compositions and take a closer look to get my four photos together. It should be said that I had already visited these four subway stations once before. So I already had a few compositions in mind, but there were also many new ones and that made the whole walk very interesting again.
Since I wanted to take four photos on the streets as well, I was always looking for possible motifs between the underground stations. I really enjoyed this challenge. You can now see the four photos from each of the subway stations, which personally convinced me the most, as well as the four pictures I took on the street. At the same time I mounted my GoPro on my Fuji and filmed myself in between so that another YouTube video was edited. You can see the video here or at the bottom of the blog entry.
