Eight nights vacation on the island of Kos in Greece. We were spared the fire, but it was still very hot. Nevertheless, I took the bus from the hotel to the city on three different days to shoot street photos in the streets of the small but very beautiful town of Kos. This time I deliberately selected a Fujifilm film simulation in advance. In the FujiXWeekly app, I chose one of the three Kodachrome 64 film simulations. I liked the warm color of the picture and I figured this would fit in with warm Greece. After the first day, however, I had to adjust the default settings. The pictures were a little too warm for me, the shadows too dark and the noise was too intense for me. So I adjusted these three parameters. Here are my settings:
Film Simulation: Classic Chrome              Dynamic Range: DR400               Highlights: +1             Shadows: 0              Color: +1          Noise Reduction: -2               Sharpening: +2               Grain Effect: Weak                 Color Chrome Effect: Weak                     Wightbalance: Daylight, +2 Red & -4 Blue
I really liked the warm colors in this environment. The shadows weren't too dark anymore and the extreme noise of the pictures from the first day was gone.
Here is a selection of my pictures that I took over the three days. The first five pictures are slightly post-processed. All pictures afterwards are the Jpeg files straight out of the camera. I have also published a YouTube video about this, in which you can see more pictures and the making-of of these pictures. The video is at the end after the photos.
