Last weekend a Blizzard came upon northern Germany like we haven't seen for many years. It snowed almost continuously for over 24 hours. For me this was of course an occasion to take my Fuji in my hand, wrap up warm clothes and go out on the street. I've never seen Vechta like this. I was hoping that at least some people would be around. I was not disappointed. 
My goal was to walk through the streets in daylight in the snowstorm. The next day I set off after dark and I was lucky that it was snowing again. The pictures shown here are the result of two walks on two consecutive days. In the meantime, the main roads have all been cleared of snow and the winter magic can no longer be captured that way. I am glad I took the chance.
